Here’s me and my Stuff when I moved into The Lucky Penny at Simply Home Community. Realizing I’ve downsized more since then…

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably experienced a merry-go-round of emotions over the past month of physical distancing, ranging from confusion to creativity, from restriction to inspiration, from dread to hope, from deprivation to resourcefulness, from loneliness to solidarity, and everything else in between. I’ve found the Silver Lining Challenge Facebook group to be a great source of inspiration during the rough moments. (You can read more about Silver Linings & Global Challenges.)

One thing I’ve particularly appreciated is how many people have been offering skills and teaching others. I’ve been doing my aerial conditioning virtually (and sometimes outside in the garden!) And I’m taking two e-courses myself these days.

So as we settle into Real Virtuality I’ve decided to offer my Downsizing E-Course again.

If you're ready to take a good look at your stuff, this e-course is for you. We'll address our relationship with stuff, discuss needs and wants to figure out what really matters, set priorities, and evaluate our possessions. We'll identify old habits and clutter magnets and tackle problem areas in our homes. Then we'll develop organizational systems and new habits to reduce clutter. And the best part is you'll get to do this with the encouragement of other people who are embarking on a similar journey.

During these strange times we’re all tightening up our budgets, so I’ve discounted the e-course to 1/2 price. If you sign up with an accountability buddy you’ll get a $10 rebate. (And if you want to take the e-course, but this doesn’t work for your budget get in touch so we can figure something out!)

If all this time at home is making you antsy to FINALLY DO SOMETHING about the clutter, sign up to do some spring cleaning with me. Registration for the April-May Downsizing E-Course closes Wednesday, April 15 so that participants can get started on their first lesson and challenge. Claim your spot today! Let’s do this!

But don't take my word for it! Here's what the participants of my past Downsizing E-Courses had to say:

"I am so much more motivated by this class than either of my grad classes this term. Which may not bode well for them, but is a huge boon to my ability to finally downsize with a system, support, and staying-power. Thanks for facilitating such a well-thought-out course!" -Melia

"What I like best about this decluttering is that I have created a space that is uniquely mine, filled with just the stuff I enjoy or find necessary in making my life joyful. I can find what I want/need easily. I have freed up my time in so many ways and having these "steps" in my head helps reinforce what we practiced. It helped me put into practice what I valued in my head and heart." - Sandy

"I love what I've noticed happening to me over this time... I think it started from putting a basket on the table in the place that I normally put my car key. Then the ritual of putting that key in that basket became kind of like slam-dunking in basketball... I made a point of celebrating each "swoosh" of that key into the basket, and now, as I'd hoped, I'm starting to get that feeling with other things. I see things, and I *want* to pick them up and throw/put them away. I get that click of satisfaction when I do. It's not just the logical sense that I *should* do devoid of any feeling. I've known for a very long time that I needed that, but I couldn't get it. And now it is happening. Thank you!" -Kim
